Thanks a lot.

No, it isn't Intel Wireless LAN Driver

Yes, the updates let the Wireless adabpter defined. However, it is Realtek Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 7 (32/64)

Thus, I don't need to go to http://support.toshiba.com/support/driversResults?freeText=2558912 to download Realtek Wireless LAN Driver for Windows 7 (32/64).

this raises another question which is, how can I know if there are other devices still missing and needing drivers to be working. For instance, my laptop has a Web Camera integrated with it, and I don't know if this will be working or not. Also, I don't know if there is a bluetooth integrated with my laptop or not. I think if any devices were still missing and needing a drivers, they would have listed under 'other devices' category in the device manager.

You would see additional yellow quotation marks in the Device Manager. Microsoft Community Contributor (MCC) 2011

Go to the Toshiba website and download the latest drivers and any additional software that is required. You can Google the specs on your laptop easy enough to find out if it has bluetooth or not.

Do NOT use 3rd party driver finders. Always get your drivers direct from the device manufacturers.

OK, so now you can ignore the gibberish re the out of date devices..

Windows 10 Pro - Start10 - part of a local network which is a '3rd party optimizer-free' zone..

I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite C55d c5251 with windows 10 preinstalled but the wifi drivers do not support hosted networks, which I need in order to use my computer as a hotspot. I've been looking for them but haven't been able to find them. Is this a Windows 10 thing? Because one of the reasons why I purchased the new computer is because in my old one I had hosted networks support with windows 7 and after I upgraded to Windows 10 I lost that functionality and I though it was because of my old computer but the problem is the same with the new computer and I need to have that functionality. Any suggestions?

Using model Satellite P70-A PSPLPC-01Y007, a windows 8.1 toshiba laptop, and I have noticed that my ethernet driver is missing. It does not appear in network connections, and there is no driver in the device manager that seems to be for it.
The 3 network adapters are a wireless network adapter, and two bluetooth device ones, neither of which sound like they would be used for an ethernet connection.

I have tried the various troubleshooters that do not detect a problem, I have verified that the cable works on other computers, and the router is also fine. I have also tried to download drivers from the toshiba site, but the only one I could find for 8.1 for lan didn't seem to install correctly or have any noticeable effect.
A system refresh is probably not an option, since I was having issues with this since at least half a year ago. One day the ethernet stopped working and I just assumed that it was the shoddy tech where I had set up and didn't think anything of it until yesterday, where I realised that it was a problem. I don't remember when it started having problems though, I can only guess.
